All Talk!
This was an exchange project we did for my first semester in the BFA. We were supposed to make 20 editions of whatever we wanted to give to each of our classmates, with the stipulation that it had to be physical deliverable that we could hand to someone on the day of the exchange. I decided to make a guide on the art of conversation and linguistcs called All Talk!, which leads the audience through different possible scenarios they might find themselves in when talking to someone and what they should do to make the conversation flow smoothly. The books touches on all the different ways people communicate and why, from neural differences, body language, and even different languages. I made most of the illustrations in either Illustrator or Procreate, but largely used InDesign for the text placement. I had a lot of fun creating each spread for each kind of communication style, and I really enjoyed the reactions of my class as I gave them their present! It was very rewarding to not only create the book from scratch, but print and bind the book as well with the help of my grandma and her sewing machine.
